Thoughts on faith.

Musing after church on Sunday...

They say that faith is when you believe in something that you haven't seen, and that to have faith like that is really something special. Personally, I think it's easier to believe in God as some invisible, higher spirit being. I mean, what if Jesus came down and walked among us like He did during New Testament times? What would your response be to some man, probably dressed in rags and not bathed, who went around claiming to be the Son of God? You'd wonder what kind of drugs he'd been doing, that's what. The ancient Hebrews didn't believe Jesus was who He claimed to be, and neither would we; when you get right down to it, people haven't changed much in the last 2000 years. And that's kind of sad, really.

  1. Hmmm.... I don't believe Jesus was unbathed and in rags - remember that the soldiers cast lots for his clothes when he was crucified (would you want to bet over rags?) and also who has a treasurer if they are poor - especially when he stole from you. Just something to think about. Kim
